- User experience (UX) informs content and design.
You must understand the customer and their motives.
- Research is king.
Without asking the correct questions, you can't design the answers.
- Good UX is iterative.
The first solution isn't always perfect. Learn and adapt. Your customer base is a moving target.
- Content and content strategy informs design.
Templates are not one size fits all. Every project is different and requires a bespoke solution.
- Websites should be device agnostic.
Gone are the days when customers digest your message on one device. The correct message needs to be delivered at the right time and place.
- Good client and customer communication is the key to success. Business owners are experts in what they do. My job is to extract that knowledge and translate.
